Former flight attendant and YouTuber Ujakka (real name Woo Eun-bin) showed a positive attitude despite suffering an unexpected accident.

Ujakka appeared on MBC's "Heartwarming Lecturers" broadcast on the 8th, where she shared the story of how she injured her head and why she continues to be active despite various mockeries. She explained, "On January 27th, while on my way to give a lecture like today, I had an accident and had 40% of my skull removed. I fell backward on the street and hit the pavement block hard, and I lost all memory of that day. My head was fractured, causing cerebral hemorrhage and brain edema." She continued, "Due to the cerebral hemorrhage, 95% of my left brain was damaged, and blood poured from my left ear and under the frontal lobe, damaging both olfactory and visual nerve cells. Before surgery, the doctor said my survival probability was 20 to 30%. Eventually, I underwent a craniectomy removing two-fifths of the left side of my skull."

She added, "Although my skull was fully exposed, I searched for people who were living well in similar conditions, thinking it would be comforting, but I couldn't find a single person. It was bleak and despairing. I wondered, 'How could I end up like this?'" She also recalled, "It felt like half of my head was gone. When I swallowed saliva, I could see my brain moving. I heard there were quite a few people like me, but I thought maybe they were all hiding and just looking for someone. So I felt I should be the one to reach out first."

Ujakka said, "I was the first in Korea to reveal the appearance of having no skull through photos and videos. After coming out to the outside world, I received malicious comments like 'Makes me want to vomit,' 'Disgusting,' 'I feel sorry for your husband,' and 'It ruins my appetite.' However, I don't let these affect me or make me unhappy. I am pouring positive energy that can give courage and hope to those who have suffered brain damage like me. I hope everyone never gives up no matter what pain they face in life," she emphasized.

Netizens who heard her story sent messages of encouragement and support, saying, "I can't even imagine how difficult that time must have been," "I applaud the way she lives life with a positive mindset," and "She is a wonderful and brave person."

Meanwhile, Ujakka worked as a flight attendant for nearly 10 years at Japanese and domestic airlines and authored the book "I Am a Flight Attendant of a Stopped Airplane." She currently runs the YouTube channel "Ujakka (Writer Woo Eun-bin)" and conducts lectures.
