Yoon Impeachment Fails... Park Jiwon Says "Will Continue Until Impeachment and Special Investigation"

Emergency Rally for 'Yoon Seok-yeol Impeachment' Held on the 8th

Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Haenam, Wando, and Jindo in Jeonnam, strongly criticized the members of the People Power Party for the rejection of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol and stated that he will continue to push for impeachment and a special investigation until they are passed.

On the 8th, Park attended the "Emergency National Situation Rally" held at the Wando Youth Center in Jeonnam and spoke about the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol and the special investigation of Kim Geon-hee, saying, "The people supported and encouraged us, but due to obstruction by Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, we could not achieve it," and added, "The residents of Haenam, Wando, and Jindo, along with civic groups, declared the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol, but ultimately, the impeachment was not realized."

On that day, Park said, "We will definitely impeach Yoon Seok-yeol together with the democratic people and conduct a special investigation on Kim Geon-hee," emphasizing, "We must unite and come together. Let us impeach Yoon Seok-yeol, conduct a special investigation on Kim Geon-hee, condemn Han Dong-hoon, and join forces."

He added, "The day before, I conveyed to Lee Jae-myung, the party leader, the intention to 'stand at the forefront with the people so that the people will not be disappointed and ensure the success of the impeachment,'" and said, "Currently, the national media across the country are also criticizing the People Power Party and responding with 'continue to push for impeachment.'"

He further stated, "Regarding the rejection of the impeachment, even the U.S. media and the White House feel regretful. More than 80% of the people in allied democratic countries such as the U.S. do not recognize Yoon Seok-yeol as president," and declared, "Let us all unite our strength. Let us fight with the people and achieve victory."

About 150 people, including local council members from Haenam, Wando, and Jindo, key party officials, and residents, attended the national situation rally that day.
