Joint Statement Announcement Scheduled
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon will discuss measures to manage state affairs, including a 'orderly resignation' roadmap to shorten President Yoon Suk-yeol's term, on the 8th. The meeting will take place at 11 a.m. at the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.
Prime Minister Han and Leader Han are also expected to exchange views on the direction of the cabinet reorganization following the declaration of total resignation amid the emergency martial law situation, as well as on livelihood and economic issues.

Leader Han said to reporters at the National Assembly after the impeachment motion against President Yoon was dismissed due to 'vote invalidity' the day before, "To minimize confusion, we will promote the president's orderly resignation," adding, "The president will be effectively suspended from duty until his resignation, and the prime minister will coordinate with the party to ensure smooth state administration."
Leader Han had also met with Prime Minister Han before the impeachment vote the previous day to discuss current issues. Leader Han urged the prime minister, "Please manage the livelihood economy and state affairs more carefully and steadily so that the people do not feel anxious."
