From the 11th, over 1,700 people can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the Women's Center website for 89 courses in 9 fields including crafts, beauty, cooking, coffee, and sewing, available to all citizens aged 18 and over
Busan Women's Center will recruit students for the '2025 1st Semester Education Program' starting from the 11th.
This education program will run for three months from January 6 to April 5, 2025, to support citizens' participation in economic activities such as employment and entrepreneurship, as well as skill development for office workers. It will offer 89 courses across 9 fields including crafts, beauty, cooking, coffee, baking, sewing, foreign languages, computers, and senior educational tools, recruiting about 1,700 students. The schedule may be adjusted depending on each course's circumstances.
In particular, certification courses helpful for employment and entrepreneurship, functional life culture courses, and evening and weekend classes for office workers will also be available.
Certification courses include ▲Cook Technician (Korean and Chinese cuisine) ▲Beautician (makeup, skin care, nails, general) ▲Computer Information Technology Qualification (ITQ) Excel, PowerPoint ▲Coffee Barista Level 2 ▲Floral Decoration Technician, among others.
Evening classes include ▲‘Homemade Dining for Office Workers’ ▲Foreign languages (English, Japanese, Chinese), and weekend classes include ▲‘Family Home Baking’ ▲Clothing Making ▲Video Editing (PowerDirector) ▲‘Calligraphy’ and more.
Any citizen aged 18 or older interested in the courses can apply. Applications will be accepted in priority recruitment, general recruitment, and additional recruitment phases, all on a first-come, first-served basis through the Women's Center website.
Priority recruitment is for socially considerate groups such as basic livelihood security recipients and families with two or more children, and will be held from 9 a.m. on December 11 to 6 p.m. on December 13.
The first general recruitment will take place from 9 a.m. on December 18 to 6 p.m. on December 24. Applicants who have consecutively taken the same course for the previous four semesters will be restricted from registering for that course this semester.
The second general recruitment will be from 9 a.m. on December 30 to 6 p.m. on January 3. If the number of applicants is less than 60% of the capacity by 6 p.m. on the last day of the second recruitment, the course will be canceled.
Additional recruitment will be held after the semester starts, from 9 a.m. on January 6, 2025, to 6 p.m. on January 12.
