Woo Won-sik "Sincerely According to Conscience"... Yoon Impeachment Vote Plenary Session Convened

Speaker of the National Assembly Woo Won-sik convened the plenary session of the National Assembly at 5 p.m. on the 7th and tabled the 'Kim Geon-hee Special Prosecutor Act.'

During the plenary session, the appointment of a special prosecutor regarding the allegations of stock manipulation in Deutsche Motors involving First Lady Kim Geon-hee and the vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol will take place.

Speaker Woo said, "Since there is a quorum, I will open the 17th plenary session," and after striking the gavel, he added, "On the night of the 3rd, armed martial law troops entered the National Assembly, and the National Assembly lifted the state of emergency martial law," and said, "I will now read the oath of office for National Assembly members that we took together here on September 2."

He then stated, "I solemnly swear before the people that I will uphold the Constitution, strive for the freedom and welfare of the people and the peaceful reunification of the fatherland, prioritize the interests of the nation, and faithfully perform my duties as a member of the National Assembly according to my conscience."
