Discussion on Response Measures for Impeachment Motion Vote

On the evening of the 6th around 8 PM, Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader of the People Power Party, and Park Jeong-ha, chief secretary to the party leader, visited the Yongsan Presidential Office and are reportedly meeting with key aides of the presidential office, including Chief Presidential Secretary Jeong Jin-seok.
According to People Power Party officials, they met with Chief Secretary Jeong during a pause in the party's parliamentary meeting that had been ongoing since the morning, conveying internal party opinions raised during the meeting.
The meeting is also expected to discuss strategies for responding to the upcoming vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol scheduled for the 7th.
The People Power Party temporarily suspended the parliamentary meeting at 7 PM that day. Based on the results of the floor leader Choo’s visit to the presidential office, the party is expected to resume the parliamentary meeting. It was confirmed that there was no change to the existing party stance opposing impeachment before the meeting was temporarily suspended.
Earlier, Han Dong-hoon, the party leader of the People Power Party, also held a private meeting with President Yoon at the Yongsan Presidential Office residence. However, it is reported that after the meeting, Han explained to party members that he did not hear anything that would change his judgment that "President Yoon’s prompt suspension from duty is necessary."
