On the afternoon of the 6th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the 'Magic at the Digital Fingertips - Senior Digital Arts and IT Competition' held at the YDP Future Lifelong Learning Center auditorium, where he engaged with senior participants by giving quizzes.
The event was attended by about 80 people, including Mayor Choi Ho-gwon, senior students of informatization education, and local residents. It featured a variety of programs such as an exhibition of works by informatization education students, an IT quiz competition by field, and a screening of a video reviewing the informatization education.
A total of 20 works were exhibited across three categories: photography, video, and shorts video. The submitted works can be freely viewed on Yeongdeungpo District’s official YouTube channel, ‘YeongguNeTV’.
Through this event, the district showcased creative uses of digital technology by seniors and presented exemplary cases to help bridge the digital divide.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, “This event is a very meaningful occasion to share the challenges and achievements of seniors taking a step closer to the digital society,” adding, “We will continue to create various opportunities for all residents to learn and communicate together in the rapidly changing digital environment.”
