Emart announced on the 8th that ahead of the year-end season when interest in health management rises, it will offer discounts by linking peanut butter and apples, which have recently become popular healthy diet combinations mainly on social media (SNS).

Until the 12th, Emart's value consumption PL brand 'Jayeonjuui' is selling '100% Organic Peanut Butter (510g, made in the USA)' for 12,980 KRW, and when purchased together with any apple product, it is offered at a 30% discounted price of 9,086 KRW.


Emart Jayeonjuui's organic peanut butter is made from 100% organic peanuts sourced from the USA with no additives at all. The company explained that despite being an organic product, the price was lowered through large-volume direct sourcing.


Recently, as famous domestic and international celebrities have introduced the combination of unsweetened peanut butter and apples as a breakfast diet for blood sugar and weight management, the demand for peanut butter has increased. Accordingly, Jayeonjuui organic peanut butter, launched in early August, quickly sold out its initial stock of 40,000 units at more than twice the expected pace, gaining great popularity.


Unsweetened peanut butter is known to have high protein and fat content, providing long-lasting satiety, and is rich in dietary fiber and unsaturated fatty acids, which can prevent rapid blood sugar spikes after meals. It has recently been recognized as a healthy food to enjoy together with apples.


Earlier, Emart launched Jayeonjuui 100% Organic Peanut Butter in early August to keep up with the peanut butter trend. After the initial order of 40,000 units, which was planned for four months of sales, sold out early in about 50 days, an additional 115,000 units?nearly three times the amount?were ordered for resale.


Separately, the 'Hwanggeum Apple (4~6 pieces/bag, domestically produced),' a Shinano Gold variety popular among young customers for its balanced sweetness and acidity, is sold at 8,900 KRW with a 2,000 KRW discount when Shinsegae points are accumulated.


Analyzing the sales performance of Emart Jayeonjuui organic peanut butter from August 3 to September 24, it was found that among customers who purchased organic peanut butter, apples were the most frequently purchased item alongside Jayeonjuui products among general products.


Sales of related products have also increased significantly due to the popularity of healthy foods. From January to November this year, total sales of Emart peanut butter grew by 120% compared to the previous year, and apple sales increased by 22.5% year-on-year.


In addition to peanut butter and apples, apple cider vinegar products, commonly called 'Aesabi (Apple Cider Vinegar),' which have recently emerged as blood sugar and weight management items, have also gained popularity mainly on SNS, showing a 402% growth compared to last year.


Kang Eun-sol, buyer for Emart Jayeonjuui, said, "In preparation for the year-end season when interest in health increases, we planned a simultaneous purchase discount event for peanut butter and apples, which have a high correlation in purchase. We will continue to strive to introduce various healthy foods."
