Head Park Hee-yoon was the first Korean to join Mori Building, a leading Japanese developer, and has firsthand experience with successful urban regeneration and development projects such as "Roppongi Hills," one of Tokyo's landmarks. After serving as the head of Mori Building's Seoul branch, he joined HDC Hyundai Development Company, pursuing mutual growth between development target areas and project implementers.

He concluded his lecture by emphasizing the importance of a harmonious urban vision through public-private win-win cooperation.

Meanwhile, Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City reflected on 2024, evaluating it as a year that proved the city's competitiveness as a global self-sufficient city through designations such as the pilot area for the education development special zone, selection for support contests to revitalize tourism special zones, and designation as a venture business promotion district.

He also mentioned achievements demonstrating Goyang City's administrative capabilities, including winning the Minister's Award for the Korea Job Awards two years in a row, receiving the highest rating for pledge evaluations for three consecutive years, being awarded the Prime Minister's Commendation for proposal activation evaluations, receiving the Dasan Mokmin Grand Prize main award, and being selected as the best in the comprehensive evaluation of cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province for two consecutive years.

Additionally, he shared other accomplishments such as obtaining the first smart city certification in northern Gyeonggi, improvements in railway transportation with the opening of the GTX-A line, and the completion of the Goyang Seongsa Innovation District, expressing gratitude by stating that the beginning and end of these achievements are thanks to the efforts of over 3,500 public officials and the interest and support of 1.08 million Goyang citizens.
