The Presidential Office announced on the 6th that "there will be no public address today."

A senior official from the Presidential Office expressed the position that there is "no schedule" for a public address on that day.

Amid ongoing confusion following President Yoon's lifting of martial law, Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, stated at an emergency Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, "I judge that a prompt suspension of President Yoon's duties is necessary to protect the Republic of Korea and its people."

After Han, who had said the previous day, "As party leader, I will strive to prevent this impeachment from passing to avoid harm to the people and supporters caused by unprepared chaos," effectively shifted his stance to support impeachment, the situation became urgent.

Subsequently, at President Yoon's request, it was reported that President Yoon and Han held an emergency meeting at the Hannam-dong residence that afternoon. A ruling party official stated, "We understand that they discussed the political situation ahead of the impeachment vote."

Following the meeting between President Yoon and Han, some media outlets reported that President Yoon would visit the National Assembly, but the Presidential Office denied this.

A senior official from the Presidential Office said that day, "The President has no schedule to visit the National Assembly today."

Upon hearing reports of President Yoon's visit to the National Assembly, opposition party lawmakers and their aides gathered at the main entrance to block his entry, shouting slogans such as "Yoon Seok-yeol, step down."

In response, National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik issued an emergency statement saying, "The situation has been very chaotic since the lifting of martial law," and added, "There have been successive speculative reports about the President's visit to the National Assembly, but we have not been informed of any such visit."

He continued, "However, even if the President visits, security arrangements must be coordinated first," and added, "Without prior consultation on the purpose of the visit and security, it is difficult to guarantee the President's safety. If the President has plans to visit, we ask that he postpone them."
