Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 6th that it expanded and relocated its snow removal base last month.
The snow removal base was relocated last month from 428 Hong-eun-dong to 454-1 Hongje-dong, and its size was expanded from 800㎡ to 1,283㎡. The site stores 1,000 tons of snow removal materials and snow removal equipment.

Accordingly, during the record-breaking heavy snowfall in the metropolitan area at the end of last month, 432 tons of snow removal materials such as calcium chloride, 99 snow removal vehicles, and 1,065 public-private personnel were deployed, enabling a smoother response.
Mayor Lee Seongheon recently visited the new snow removal base to encourage the staff who worked hard to ensure citizen safety and minimize inconvenience during the recent heavy snowfall.
Mayor Lee Seongheon urged, “Please maintain a constant snow removal readiness system to minimize citizen damage caused by winter snowfall and freezing, and especially take proactive snow removal measures on major roads and vulnerable areas.”
