Discussion on Safety and Health Matters for Workers Affiliated with the City

On the 6th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the '2024 4th Quarter Industrial Safety and Health Committee' in the city's third conference room to ensure a safe working environment for city employees and to manage the prevention of industrial accidents.

The 'Industrial Safety and Health Committee' is an important labor-management communication body that seeks workers' understanding and cooperation and reflects their opinions by discussing necessary matters to maintain and promote workers' safety and health in accordance with Article 24 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act. At this year's committee meeting, over 30 recommendations, including attaching signboards to road and cleaning work vehicles to prevent industrial accidents among workers, were improved and implemented.

During the meeting, key issues in the field of industrial safety and health were discussed and opinions exchanged, including ▲results of the 3rd quarter discussions and activities of safety and health managers ▲risk assessment results ▲current status of industrial accidents and reduction measures ▲listening to opinions on safety and health and improvement plans.

Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, stated, “To prevent serious accidents, it is most important to identify risk factors and establish reduction measures,” adding, “We will make every effort to prevent industrial accidents and create a safe workplace through continuous communication and cooperation.”
