On the occasion of the 2nd regular session, the Dangjin City Council in Chungnam visited four key local sites on the 5th to listen to voices from the field and discuss solutions to current issues.

This visit focused on major issues in the Dangjin area, including △Obongje Reservoir waterside facilities △the planned site for Geosan Park △Seokmun Embankment parking lot △and the three-way intersection behind Daedong Dasup.

Choi Yeonsuk, who requested the on-site visit to Obongje Reservoir in Sinpyeong-myeon, emphasized the need to improve surrounding roads for park development and checked the current status of road maintenance to enhance accessibility and convenience for park users.

In response, a city official said, "There are many matters that need to be coordinated with the Korea Rural Community Corporation regarding road improvements, so we will proceed with the project step by step."

Regarding the Geosan Park development project, there were calls for the creation of an eco-friendly park that aligns with Dangjin City's vision.

Council members stated, "We hope for the creation of a unique and eco-friendly park that fits Dangjin City’s goal of becoming a carbon-neutral city," and requested, "Please make it a park that local residents can take pride in."

There were also continued requests regarding the management of the Seokmun Embankment parking lot area.

Yoon Myungsoo said, "The issue of poor management, which has been repeatedly pointed out, still has not been resolved," and requested, "Since this is an area frequented by many tourists, please make improvements as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, the city council plans to address the issues discussed during this visit in detail during the 4th to 6th plenary sessions of the 115th regular session, which will be held for three days from the 9th to the 11th.
