The Identity of the 'Citizen' Shouted at by Lee Jun-seok Saying "Shut Up, You Punk" in the Wall Climbing Proposal A video of Lee Jun-seok, a member of the Reform New Party, responding with "It's noisy, man" to the suggestion "How about climbing over the wall?" is spreading online. X

On the 6th, Lee posted on social media, "Supporters of the Democratic Party are spreading rumors that I said 'Shut up, you punk' to a citizen, but that man is Hwang Tae-seok, secretary to Assemblyman Cheon Ha-ram, who works with me and Bae Na-sa (People Sharing Learning, an educational volunteer organization)," adding, "Secretary Hwang Tae-seok is like a brother to me, so what do you want?"

Earlier, Lee was caught on camera arguing with police officers controlling access to the National Assembly, saying, "This is illegal martial law, but you say we can't open under martial law? This is treason, open it quickly," "If you vote now, it's treason. I'm taking pictures, all of them," and "This is obstruction of official duties." This drew public attention. Regarding the incident, Lee told CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' "When I shouted, 'Is it right to block a member of the National Assembly from working?' the young police officers were visibly shaken," adding, "The commander said, 'We have to block here,' but some young officers said, 'If it's a member of the National Assembly, shouldn't we let them in?' It seemed there was considerable unrest inside rather than strict discipline."

However, on social media after the viral scene, a video spread showing a man tapping Lee on the shoulder and asking, "Representative, how about climbing over the wall?" to which Lee grimaced and replied, "Shut up, you punk." Some netizens criticized the video, calling it "Show Jun-seok," "playing hero," and "ignoring the suggestion to enter the National Assembly by saying it's noisy," but it appears to have stemmed from a misunderstanding.
