KAIST Hair Loss Shampoo ‘Gravity’ Enters Shinsegae Chicor

First Beauty Edit Shop Store Opens on the 6th
Strengthening Omnichannel Across Online and Offline

Polyphenol Factory announced that the premium haircare brand ‘Gravity,’ based on KAIST technology, will officially launch at Shinsegae beauty select shop ‘Chicor’ on the 6th.


As Gravity’s first entry into beauty select stores, it will be available at Chicor’s flagship stores in Seoul COEX and Busan Centum City. It will also be simultaneously released on Chicor’s online platform. Gravity plans to strengthen its omnichannel strategy encompassing both online and offline, further enhancing customer experience.


Gravity’s flagship product, ‘Gravity Shampoo,’ is designed to provide both hair loss care and volume care simultaneously. It applies the patented technology ‘LiftMax 308™’ developed by KAIST Distinguished Professor Lee Hae-shin, which protects the damaged cuticle layer during the shampooing process and forms an immediate protective film on the hair. It adds elasticity and strength to sagging and thin hair, allowing consumers to experience ‘visible care,’ which has received favorable reviews.


Gravity has prepared a space at Chicor stores where customers can directly experience the brand philosophy and product effects. To commemorate the launch, special promotions and trial events will be held, offering customers the opportunity to experience Gravity’s innovation firsthand.


Director Eom Seong-jun of Gravity said, “In a consumer trend where the boundaries between online and offline are disappearing, entering Chicor is a strategic attempt to strengthen offline customer experience while expanding online purchasing power. We will continue to expand customer touchpoints and strengthen brand influence not only domestically but also in the global market.”


Since its launch in April, Gravity has sold over 310,000 bottles, emerging as a leading brand in the hair loss care market. It continues its ‘sold-out legend,’ achieving sales of over 1 billion KRW in just 40 minutes through a single distribution channel.
