Dana White UFC President's Sudden Cancellation of Visit to Korea
"Apologies to Those Who Were Looking Forward to My Visit"
Dana White, UFC President (55, USA), canceled his visit to Korea due to the aftermath of the martial law declaration.
On the 5th, ZFN, a mixed martial arts event hosted by 'Korean Zombie' Jung Chan-sung, announced, "Due to the declaration of martial law in the Republic of Korea on the 3rd, Dana White, who was scheduled to attend ZFN 02 on December 14, will ultimately be unable to participate." They added, "We sincerely ask for the understanding of many who were looking forward to Dana White's visit to Korea," and "ZFN will do its best to invite Dana White again at future events."
Originally, President White was scheduled to visit Korea to watch the 'ZFN 02' event held at KINTEX in Ilsan on the 14th. ZFN is a mixed martial arts organization established by Jung Chan-sung after retiring from the UFC. President White had shown special affection by wearing a 'Korean Zombie' T-shirt during his active years in the UFC. He was also scheduled to film a martial arts YouTube program and conduct interviews with domestic media, but all were canceled.
Meanwhile, President White is known as a close associate of Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States. They have maintained a relationship for over 20 years, and recently, he was spotted at a UFC event with Elon Musk and Trump Jr. As a result, some critics argue that an opportunity to communicate with a close aide of President-elect Trump was missed.
