Saemaeul Geumgo Joonganghoe Actively Engages in Education for Fair and Transparent Elections

Accelerating Credit Union Guidance Ahead of the 1st Nationwide Simultaneous Saemaeul Geumgo Chairman Election

The National Credit Union Federation of Korea (Saemaeul Geumgo Joonganghoe) announced on the 5th that it is actively conducting education to ensure a fair and transparent election ahead of the '1st Nationwide Simultaneous Saemaeul Geumgo Chairman Election.'

Since the 4th, Saemaeul Geumgo Joonganghoe has completed election education for executives and employees of credit unions under the jurisdiction of 13 regional headquarters nationwide.

As this is the first time Saemaeul Geumgo entrusts the election management committee with the election, the education content was selected on topics unfamiliar to credit union executives and employees, such as the entrusted election system, election affairs, and eradication of illegal election practices.

This employee education was held a total of 27 times, with 2,433 participants.

Additionally, in August, the Central Election Management Committee was invited to conduct education aimed at eradicating illegal activities for executives and employees of Saemaeul Geumgo Joonganghoe who manage the simultaneous election affairs of Saemaeul Geumgo.

In October, practical training was conducted at the MG Human Resources Development Institute to enhance knowledge of election work and establish a cooperative system for the regional election management team of the central association.

Based on this training, the regional election management team plans to conduct another round of education for regional credit unions in December.

Kim In, Chairman of Saemaeul Geumgo Joonganghoe, stated, "The 1st Nationwide Simultaneous Saemaeul Geumgo Chairman Election will be a turning point for the trusted 100-year Saemaeul Geumgo," adding, "We will continuously guide compliance with election-related laws and regulations to ensure a clean and fair election."
