This course, promoted as part of the 2024 Guri City Borderline Intellectual Disability Lifelong Education Support Project, was designed to enhance understanding of borderline intellectual disability among parents and related parties, and to train professionals who support the growth of the target individuals through character education.
From November 11 to December 3, a total of 8 sessions were held covering topics such as ▶Introduction to Character Education ▶Understanding Borderline Intellectual Disability and Character Education ▶Teaching and Learning Methods for Character Education for Borderline Intellectual Disability ▶Planning and Evaluation of Character Education Programs for Borderline Intellectual Disability. The course successfully concluded with 10 graduates.

Additionally, the 'Flying Dolphin' educational program for individuals with borderline intellectual disability was held over 6 sessions from October 19 to November 23, receiving high praise from participants.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “We will continue to support customized lifelong education programs for individuals with borderline intellectual disability to promote their independence and social participation, thereby contributing to improving their quality of life. We will also solidly support lifelong education programs for not only individuals with borderline intellectual disability but also their families and related parties.”
