"The President is the mastermind behind the rebellion conspiracy"
Shin Jeong-hoon, Chairman of the Administrative and Security Committee, criticized President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of martial law on the 5th, saying, "Our people have spent the past two days in utter despair. What kind of democracy have we built, and what kind of Republic of Korea have we created?"

On the same day, during the full meeting of the National Assembly's Administrative and Security Committee in the morning, Chairman Shin said, "The emptiness, anger, and despair everyone feels likely stem from the fact that the history of democracy, which has endured and overcome a turbulent modern history, has been completely denied and destroyed by a mad group."
Chairman Shin stated, "Martial law is a clear unconstitutional and illegal act of national disorder that does not meet the requirements and procedures stipulated by the Constitution and laws, and it is an act of rebellion," adding, "The President is the ringleader of a rebellion conspiracy that has shaken the foundation of the liberal democratic system."
Chairman Shin raised his voice, saying, "The police blocked the National Assembly, and the Ministry of National Defense deployed helicopters and sent armed martial law troops to trample the main building of the National Assembly with military boots," and asked, "Under whose orders did the Commissioner of the National Police Agency block the National Assembly and participate in the martial law troops' violation of the National Assembly, when the police chief should be protecting the safety of the people from rebellion and safeguarding national security?"
