Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on the 5th that the net assets of the ‘TIGER Tesla Bond Mixed Fn Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF)’ have surpassed 200 billion KRW.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of the closing price on the 4th, the net assets of the ‘TIGER Tesla Bond Mixed Fn ETF’ stand at 243.5 billion KRW. This is the largest scale among domestic listed bond-mixed ETFs that include stocks as underlying assets. As Tesla has emerged as the biggest beneficiary of the election of Donald Trump as U.S. President, the ‘TIGER Tesla Bond Mixed Fn ETF’ is gaining attention as a bond-mixed ETF that invests with the highest weighting in Tesla.
Tesla is the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer with outstanding technological capabilities. It is the first automobile company to surpass a market capitalization of 1 trillion USD, leading the global electric vehicle market. Currently, it is establishing global production bases in Shanghai, China, and other locations, and the sales volume of electric vehicles is expected to increase further. In addition to electric vehicles, Tesla is creating new business models by entering autonomous driving and robotics industries, earning a reputation as an icon of innovation.
The ‘TIGER Tesla Bond Mixed Fn ETF’ is an ETF that allows investors to enjoy the growth potential of Tesla, a leading global growth stock, while simultaneously investing in the stability of bonds. As of the 4th, it invests 29.5% in Tesla stock and 70.5% in nine government bonds with maturities of 3 to 10 years. Through this, it seeks to achieve both the effect of direct individual stock investment and volatility mitigation. Being currency-exposed, the stock portion is affected by fluctuations in the KRW-USD exchange rate.
As a bond-mixed type, the ‘TIGER Tesla Bond Mixed Fn ETF’ can be invested 100% through defined contribution (DC) and individual retirement pension (IRP) accounts as safe assets. When investing through retirement pensions, taxation is deferred until withdrawal, and tax credits can also be received.
