KB Asset Management announced on the 5th that it was selected as a family-friendly excellent company on the 2nd of this month.
The family-friendly company certification, overseen by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, is a system that grants certification through evaluation to companies and public institutions that exemplary operate family-friendly systems under Article 15 of the Act on the Promotion of a Family-Friendly Social Environment.
This recognition reflects KB Asset Management’s continuous efforts to foster a family-friendly corporate culture. The company received high marks for introducing various systems to ensure employees enjoy a satisfactory working environment.
In June, KB Asset Management became the first asset management company to extend the parental leave period from the existing one year to a maximum of two years to address the low birthrate issue. Additionally, it introduced a childbirth incentive system to encourage childbirth. When an employee has a child, a childbirth incentive of 400,000 KRW per child per month is paid for two years starting from the following month.
In March, the time when children enter school, KB Asset Management operates the “Elementary School Enrollment Childcare Work Hour Adjustment System,” which allows employees to start work one hour later than usual to minimize childcare gaps. The finishing time remains the same, and full wages are paid.
Moreover, KB Asset Management operates various family-friendly systems to support work-family balance, including △ flexible working hours △ Family Day early leave △ employee family invitation events (children’s drawing contest, Yeouido fireworks viewing) △ family-friendly workplace education.
