Daishin Securities won the Best Investment Banking (IB) Award at the '2024 Asia Capital Investment Awards.' The company is aiming to transform into a prestigious 'IB powerhouse' by strengthening traditional IB sectors such as the Equity Capital Market (ECM) and Debt Capital Market (DCM).

The most notable achievement in the ECM sector this year was the lead underwriting deal for LG Display's rights offering worth 1.3 trillion KRW. This subscription was highly popular, selling out completely in the shareholder allocation public offering. Daishin Securities also executed deals for Hwasung (82.6 billion KRW), Exicon (33.3 billion KRW), and Hana Micron (82.4 billion KRW), and is currently handling a 200 billion KRW deal for EcoPro HN. The company has maintained a relationship with the EcoPro Group, having led the IPO of EcoPro BM in 2019, supported the group restructuring in 2021, and this year managed EcoPro’s public corporate bond issuance and rights offering. In the direct finance market, Daishin Securities raised 196 billion KRW for seven companies.

In the DCM sector, Daishin Securities served as lead underwriter for 23 deals, achieving an underwriting amount of 1.5943 trillion KRW. The company issued public bonds for major conglomerates such as LG Energy Solution, GS Power, GS Energy, EcoPro, and HD Hyundai. In the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) field, it provided advisory services for two new holding company conversions and three governance restructuring cases.

The New Technology Finance Division reached a cumulative Assets Under Management (AUM) of 982.9 billion KRW. This year, it expanded its management scope to include 37 project funds such as Growth Capital’s blind fund launched in July, as well as a 130 billion KRW blind fund. Among the funds liquidated this year, Enchem achieved an internal rate of return (IRR) of 30% in just 1 year and 8 months. Daishin Securities plans to liquidate four funds this year, targeting an average IRR of 39.58%.
