Hanwha TotalEnergies has taken the initiative to promote regional coexistence by donating unused monitors to schools in the Seosan area of South Chungcheong Province.
On the 4th, Hanwha TotalEnergies announced that it held a "Unused Monitor Donation Ceremony" at the Seosan Office of Education, attended by Seong Kidong, Superintendent of Seosan Office of Education, and related officials, and delivered 64 monitors.
The donated monitors are 22-inch LED models. Hanwha TotalEnergies selected devices with high reuse value from among the unused monitors previously used in the offices at their plant.
The monitors donated by Hanwha TotalEnergies will be distributed to five elementary, middle, and high schools in the Seosan area through the Seosan Office of Education and will be used for computer-related classes and other educational purposes.
Meanwhile, Hanwha TotalEnergies has been paying special attention and providing various support to help local students focus on their studies.
Each year, the company provides scholarships to high school students in the Seosan area and also delivers development funds to schools near the Daesan plant.
In addition, Hanwha TotalEnergies actively contributes to creating future value for the local community by inviting high school students from nearby schools to tour the Daesan plant and participate in petrochemical industry introduction programs, thus supporting talent development.
A Hanwha TotalEnergies official stated, "Rather than simply discarding unused assets generated from position changes or department transfers, we have added meaning to carbon neutrality and regional coexistence through reuse," and added, "We will continue to support local students' studies through various activities in the future."
