"Serious Disruption of Democratic Order, Illegal Violence"
Muan County Council (Chairman Lee Hoseong) issued a statement on the 3rd condemning President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of an unconstitutional emergency martial law.
On the 4th, the council stated in the declaration, "Emergency martial law should only be enacted in extremely exceptional situations to maintain national security and order, so this declaration of emergency martial law is clearly for political purposes."

They continued, "President Yoon Seok-yeol cited the threat from North Korea and the eradication of anti-state forces as reasons for declaring emergency martial law, but this is an act that suppresses the people's freedom and rights and is a clear constitutional violation both procedurally and substantively."
Finally, they strongly urged, "We once again declare that President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of emergency martial law is an unconstitutional act of oppression that mocks the people and tramples on democracy, and we strongly call for the immediate cessation of this illegal outrage that seriously damages democratic order."
