Miryang-si Holds Completion Ceremony for Women's Center Educational Courses

Showcasing Talent Through Various Performances and Art Exhibitions

Miryang City in Gyeongnam held the 2024 Miryang Women's Center Education Course Completion Ceremony at the Youth Training Center auditorium, attended by over 400 people including graduates and instructors of the Women's Center courses and their families.

At the completion ceremony held on the 3rd, Mayor Ahn Byung-gu presented certificates to representatives of graduates from each course and gave roses to outstanding students who participated and won awards in various competitions, creating a warm atmosphere.


In the second part of the event, 19 performance teams showcased their accumulated skills through harmonica, chromaharp, ocarina, accordion, ukulele, acoustic guitar, saxophone performances, and weekend pop songs. Meanwhile, as a side event, a total of 274 artworks including various handicrafts such as pottery, hand knitting, sewing, and various Eastern and Western art pieces, all carefully made by the students, were exhibited, attracting the attention of visitors.


Mayor Ahn stated, “The Women's Center courses are an important lifelong learning space that satisfies the desire for learning, self-growth, and vocational training, and contributes to a cultured lifestyle for citizens. We will continue to develop high-quality programs reflecting citizens' needs.”


This year, Miryang City operated 44 programs across four fields?vocational skills and human resource development, healthy living, liberal culture, and evening courses for workers?through three sessions at the Women's Center, with about 800 citizens attending each session, receiving positive responses.
