Sustainable Growth and Vision Sharing for Handon Farms

The Gyeonggi-do Korean Pork Producers' Unity Conference was successfully held on the 3rd at the Sun Valley Hotel in Yeoju City. Approximately 350 Korean pork farmers and key guests attended the event, discussing the present and future of the Korean pork industry and fostering unity.

The event was further enriched by the presence of key guests including National Assembly member Kim Seon-gyo, Oh Moo-seok, the 2nd Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, Lee Chung-woo, Mayor of Yeoju City, Park Doo-hyung, Chairman of the Yeoju City Council, as well as Son Se-hee, President of the Korean Pork Association, and representatives from various regional Korean pork farming communities.


This Unity Conference was organized as a platform to discuss the challenges facing the Korean pork industry and to explore ways to produce safe food and strengthen the competitiveness of livestock farming. The importance of cooperation among Korean pork farmers to create a sustainable future despite difficult circumstances was emphasized.


Lee Chung-woo, Mayor of Yeoju City, stated, “I am pleased that the Korean Pork Producers' Unity Conference is being held in Yeoju City, and I hope this event will serve as an opportunity for pork farmers and stakeholders to reflect on the past year and prepare for the future.” He added, “Yeoju City will spare no policy support to ensure that Korean pork farmers can focus on stable production.”
