The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 4th that on the 3rd, the 4th Gyeonggi-do Safety Instructor Competition for People with Disabilities was held at Largo Ville Resort in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, with 10 fire safety instructors from fire stations across the province participating.

The grand prize was awarded to Seo Young-gwang, a firefighter from Yongin Seobu Fire Station, who gave an innovative lecture on "How to Report a 119 Emergency for People with Developmental Disabilities." The excellence awards went to Jeong Jeong-ho, a firefighter from Dongducheon Fire Station (fire safety for infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities), and Jeon Young-wook, a firefighter from Gwacheon Fire Station (drug accidents for the visually impaired), respectively.
The top instructor and other awardees will receive the Gyeonggi-do Governor's Award and personal incentive points.
Meanwhile, at the event, Kim Young-seok, an education researcher at the Korea National University of Education's Institute for the Development of Higher Education for People with Disabilities, gave a special lecture on strengthening educational capacity for people with disabilities through disability awareness education.
