Incheon City to Hold Resident Briefings on Basic Plan for Aging Planned Urban Redevelopment from 4th to 11th

Incheon City announced that following the enforcement of the 'Special Act on the Maintenance and Support of Aged Planned Cities' in April and the commencement of the basic plan establishment project for the maintenance of aged planned cities, resident briefing sessions will be held from the 4th to the 11th for each target area of aged planned cities.

The briefing sessions were organized to help residents understand the Aged Planned Cities Maintenance Act and the establishment of the basic plan, and to collect opinions to facilitate the smooth formulation of the basic plan. The sessions will explain the main contents of the Special Act on the Maintenance of Aged Planned Cities, the direction for establishing the basic plan, designation of special maintenance zones, and procedures for project implementation.

The resident briefing sessions will be held in the order of Michuhol-gu, Yeonsu-gu, Namdong-gu, Gyeyang-gu, and Bupyeong-gu, at administrative welfare centers and district office auditoriums. Attendees include residents of aged planned cities, nearby residents, public officials, and organizations. Specific schedules and locations can be checked on the Incheon City website.

Starting with these briefing sessions, the city plans to conduct a basic survey, draft the basic plan, and then finalize and announce the basic plan by March 2026 through public inspection, hearing opinions from the city council, and review by the Urban Planning Committee.
