"Everyone Come Out and Block Them"... Airborne Special Forces Attempting to Enter the National Assembly

President Yoon Suk-yeol declared martial law on the 3rd, and at the National Assembly building in Yeouido, Seoul, lawmakers and their aides attempting to enter the premises are confronting soldiers trying to gain access to the National Assembly.

The Democratic Party of Korea immediately after the declaration of martial law requested aides and party members to bring their identification cards and gather at the National Assembly or the Yeouido Central Party Office. Party members who have arrived at the National Assembly are blocking the main gate of the National Assembly building to prevent the entry of airborne troops.

At around 11:50 PM that day, the Democratic Party sent a text message to party members stating, "The Yoon Suk-yeol government has declared martial law that paralyzes the constitutional order. An unprecedented situation is unfolding with the National Assembly access being blocked. We ask all party members to bring their identification cards and gather at the National Assembly or the Yeouido Central Party Office."

In fact, personnel believed to be airborne troops were spotted attempting to enter through the back gate of the National Assembly. A helicopter is circling above the National Assembly. As of 12:20 AM on the 4th, more than one squad of troops has entered through the back gate.

Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, also said, "I am currently in the main chamber of the National Assembly. The military is entering the National Assembly," and warned, "I urge the military and police not to cooperate or collaborate with this anti-constitutional martial law."
