No Communication Measures Yet After Martial Law Imposed
The Ministry of Science and ICT clarified that the inability to access Naver Cafes following President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of martial law was due to increased traffic and that no control measures were implemented.
A senior official from the Ministry of Science and ICT told Asia Economy in a phone interview, "We received reports that access to Naver Cafes was disrupted due to increased traffic on Naver."
Naver and Daum Cafes were inaccessible from around 11 PM but have since been restored to normal service.
The official added, "There are currently no planned communication-related measures in connection with the martial law."
