Doctor who spread personal information and mocked returning resident as 'buyeokja' arrested Yonhap News

On the 3rd, the Cyber Investigation Unit 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that an arrest warrant was issued for resident doctor A, who was suspected of posting a 'medical community blacklist' online. The court issued the arrest warrant, citing concerns over evidence tampering.

A is accused of referring to emergency room workers, returning residents, and fellows as 'collaborators' and posting their personal information on overseas websites such as Pastebin, charges that include violation of the Stalking Punishment Act and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act. In September, A also posted a list of emergency room doctors with a message saying, 'In celebration of Chuseok, I made a list of emergency room workers. The purpose of the list is not only to document but also to bring about behavioral change.'

A police official stated, "We will continue to conduct strict investigations into similar cases of online collective harassment in the future."
