He confessed, "I was scammed out of a loan by the owner of a sentimental pub, with whom I went through tough times while working as a club DJ for 30 years," adding, "My body and mind are exhausted, so I am taking medication."
Mr. A revealed that even during the difficult times of COVID-19, he worked with the sentimental pub owner and took out a loan on his behalf to help run the business. However, two months later, he was fired, and the owner did not repay the loan, leaving Mr. A to pay it off alone to this day. He continued, "Because we were close, I trusted him," and "He paid for a month or two, but then contact was cut off. Two years have passed like that, and I have been paying off the loan alone. Currently, about 12 million won remains."
In response, Lee Soo-geun expressed regret, saying, "Even if you are close friends, money matters must be handled clearly," and "You should have gotten a loan agreement."
He advised, "Since it has already happened, you should resolve it legally even now."
He added, "Try to increase your work somehow and endure," and warned, "Don't hold onto the small hope of 'I'll get it back someday.'" He said, "Almost no one gets their money back that way," and "People who scam others never really pay back."
He comforted Mr. A by saying, "People who make others cry will not live a proper life," and "You will get everything back someday."

Regarding Lee Soo-geun's advice, some interpret it as being aimed at fellow comedian Lee Jin-ho. Earlier, on October 14, Lee Jin-ho confessed on his social media (SNS) about debts caused by illegal gambling. He stated in October, "In 2020, by chance, I started playing games on an illegal internet gambling site and ended up with debts I couldn't handle," adding, "Thanks to the stern advice of acquaintances and the fear that I might not be able to do the work I love anymore, I came to my senses late and was able to quit gambling, but I had already received financial help from many people."
It was reported that the celebrity acquaintances from whom he borrowed money include BTS members Jimin, Lee Soo-geun, singer Youngtak, and singer Ha Sung-woon. Jimin is said to have lent about 100 million won, and Lee Soo-geun is also reported to have suffered losses of at least several tens of millions of won.
