Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, said regarding the abolition of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MOGEF), a pledge of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, "When our government was launched, pledging to abolish MOGEF was actually about efficiently implementing women's and family policies properly, and I absolutely do not think it was to belittle the mission itself."

After attending the opening ceremony of the first session of the Seoul Women's Political Academy held at the National Assembly Library on the 3rd, Han told reporters, "Abolishing a department does not mean eliminating its functions."

He added, "However, the issue of whether to maintain or abolish MOGEF is difficult to proceed without the consent of the majority party," and emphasized, "That said, should we leave its mission hanging in the middle? I do not agree with that."

Regarding his remark during the opening speech that "I am not a feminist," Han explained, "It means I am not an extreme feminist," and stated, "I believe women's lives should be improved and gender equality must be achieved."

He continued, "Politics should play a role in that process," and added, "If that is called being a feminist, then yes, but from an extreme standard, I meant I am not a feminist."

On the issue of a text message requesting promotion for a specific person working at a public enterprise, which was detected through an acquaintance of Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the People Power Party Policy Committee, Han said, "I have not seen the details and will listen to the explanation," withholding further comment.

When asked about the timing of the proposal of the special investigation law on Chae Sang-byeong, which he promised during his candidacy for party leader to be based on a third-party recommendation system, Han replied, "Political schedules are not something that can be decided at one's own discretion," and said, "I will observe the current political schedule situation."
