The Environmentally Friendly Agricultural Materials Support Project is a program that supports the purchase cost of eco-friendly agricultural materials to improve environmental pollution caused by the use of agricultural vinyl and to preserve the agricultural environment.

The supported items include long-lasting coated greenhouse film, biodegradable mulch, and weed mats, while general films (additive films) are excluded from support.

For the ‘long-lasting coated greenhouse film,’ the facility must have a greenhouse area of 330㎡ (100 pyeong) or more and comply with the disaster-resistant design standards announced by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Those who have received related support within the last five years are excluded from eligibility.

For ‘biodegradable mulch,’ organic certified farms can only receive support for materials publicly announced as organic agricultural materials, while pesticide-free and other general farms can only receive support for products certified with the Environmental Mark in the Green Product Information System.

Applicants must be farmers or agricultural corporations registered as agricultural management entities with farmland located within Paju City, and must pay 50% of the cost themselves.

Farmers wishing to apply should submit their application forms to the administrative welfare centers of each eup/myeon based on the location of their farmland, or to the Agricultural Policy Division for dong areas. For detailed information such as required documents and support unit prices, please refer to the news board on the Paju City Agricultural Technology Center website.

Lee Tae-sung, head of the Agricultural Policy Division, stated, “We hope for active participation from farmers in the Environmentally Friendly Agricultural Materials Support Project, which is conducted to preserve a clean agricultural environment.”
