Icheon-si Completes Expansion and Paving of Dongsan~Jumi Rural Road

On the 3rd, Icheon City in Gyeonggi-do announced the completion and opening of the rural road expansion and paving project between Dongsan and Jumi in Hobeop-myeon.

This project involved widening and paving a 2.28 km rural road from 270-11, Dongsan-ri, Hobeop-myeon to San 19-4, Jumi-ri to a width of 10 meters. The city invested a budget of 11 billion KRW and started construction in 2020, completing the project after more than four years. The road design incorporated agricultural machinery lanes to improve farming conditions, and a new Dongsan small bridge was constructed.

The city expects that the road opening will enhance transportation convenience for local residents, improve accessibility to the Nam Icheon IC on the Jungbu Expressway, and have a positive impact on logistics and tourism revitalization.

Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, said, "This road opening will significantly reduce travel time between regions and help revitalize the local economy. We will continue to make efforts to improve the regional transportation network."
