As of 10 a.m. on the 3rd, the KOSPI recorded 686.55, up 10.71 points (1.58%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions net bought 142.3 billion KRW and 153.1 billion KRW, respectively. On the other hand, individuals net sold 284.6 billion KRW.
Most sectors are rising. Financials, textiles and apparel, and pharmaceuticals jumped more than 2%. Machinery, food and beverages, distribution, steel and metals, and chemicals also rose more than 1%. Meanwhile, transportation and warehousing, telecommunications, and electricity and gas sectors showed slight declines.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics traded at 53,800 KRW, up 200 KRW (0.37%) from the previous day. KB Financial and Korea Zinc rose more than 3%. NAVER and Shinhan Financial Group also increased more than 2%. Conversely, POSCO Holdings fell more than 1%.
The KOSDAQ recorded 686.55, up 10.71 points (1.58%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions net bought 120.6 billion KRW and 1.1 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals net sold 120.6 billion KRW.
By sector, chemicals rose 4.10%, and pharmaceuticals jumped 2.08%. Textiles and apparel, machinery equipment, other manufacturing, and general electric and electronics all rose more than 1%. Meanwhile, entertainment and culture, publishing and media, and paper and wood sectors showed slight declines.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Alteogen traded at 325,500 KRW, up 23,500 KRW (7.78%) from the previous day. Enchem surged 13.92%, and Rigachem Bio and Classys rose 5.41% and 3.28%, respectively. Celltrion Pharm and Samchundang Pharm also increased more than 2%. Conversely, JYP Ent. fell 2.72%, while EcoPro and Pearl Abyss dropped more than 1%.
