Kim Ajin, a member of the Seocheon County Council in Chungnam (Democratic Party), announced on the 3rd that she had proposed the "Ordinance on Fiscal Soundness and Efficiency of Seocheon County" as the lead sponsor during the 327th 2nd regular session.
The ordinance includes provisions for establishing policies necessary for fiscal soundness, enhancing the efficiency and transparency of fiscal management, and developing and publishing fiscal soundness and efficiency indicators on the official website.
Kim stated, "Seocheon County's grants, which account for about 30% of its finances, have decreased over the past two years due to a decline in national revenue, and the county is facing an unprecedented fiscal crisis due to the Seocheon Specialized Market fire and heavy rainfall," emphasizing, "Fiscal efficiency is more important and urgent than ever."
She added, "With the enactment of this ordinance, we expect to strengthen the transparency and efficiency of fiscal management and help build greater trust among residents."
