Introduction of Store-Based 'Mart Direct Delivery'
Expansion of Product Assortment from Food to Non-Food Items
Strong Sales Performance of Quick Commerce 'Instant Delivery' Last Year
Continued Diversification of Customer Touchpoints
Homeplus announced on the 3rd that it will be the first to join Baedal Minjok's grocery shopping service with its large mart 'Mart Direct Delivery' service, which offers scheduled delivery.
Homeplus Mart Direct Delivery is a service that delivers fresh products from large mart stores nationwide directly to customers' doorsteps. It offers same-day delivery as well as the option to schedule delivery on the desired date and time. The company expects that customers will find grocery shopping even more convenient along with Homeplus Express's one-hour delivery service 'Instant Delivery,' which joined Baedal Minjok last year.
The items available for delivery include not only food products purchasable at large marts but also non-food items such as living goods, sports equipment, toys, electronics, and clothing, all orderable through Baedal Minjok's grocery shopping service.
Homeplus Online, which operates both the large mart Mart Direct Delivery and supermarket Instant Delivery, has recorded double-digit sales growth for three consecutive years. Sales of Homeplus Express Instant Delivery on Baedal Minjok increased by approximately 80% in October this year compared to the same period last year.
To celebrate the launch of Mart Direct Delivery on Baedal Minjok, Homeplus is running a promotional event this month. Customers will receive a 5% discount shopping cart coupon (up to 4,000 KRW) for purchases over 60,000 KRW. An additional 1,000 KRW discount is available when paying with participating cards.
Jo Hye-young, Director of Homeplus Online Marketing Headquarters, said, "We will continue to actively explore various collaborations and new strategies to further enhance Homeplus Online's competitiveness."
