Gwangrim-Rusman Sign MOU to Strengthen Overseas Business... Accelerating Push into Russian Market

Gwanglim, a company specializing in mobile cranes and special vehicles, has announced new business synergies aimed at expanding its overseas operations.


On the 3rd, Gwanglim revealed that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Russian company Rusman on the 2nd at its headquarters in Cheongju, Chungbuk, to establish a strategic partnership.


This agreement was made to strengthen the cooperative system with the goal of expanding the market competitiveness of both companies. The agreement includes establishing a maintenance technology training support center in Russia to enhance after-sales service (AS) for exported products, as well as business cooperation related to discovering business opportunities and expanding footholds in the global market.


Through this partnership, Gwanglim plans to provide technical training personnel and various training services for the maintenance technology training support center established by Rusman.


Gwanglim's strategy is to not only recover its existing market share in the Russian hydraulic crane market but also to focus on expanding overseas sales channels and developing new regions. Currently, Gwanglim’s overseas sales branches are located in ▲4 places in Russia ▲1 in Saudi Arabia ▲2 in Taiwan ▲1 in Mongolia ▲1 in Vietnam, and the company is actively considering entering additional regions with high potential.


Song Taeyoung, CEO of Gwanglim, said, “Gwanglim recorded local sales of 36.8 billion KRW in Russia last year with differentiated competitiveness and localization strategies compared to overseas brands. We will strengthen our local market approach and devote ourselves to expanding market share through proven product quality and close cooperation between the two companies.”
