Choi Hogwon, Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor, Attends 2024 Salvation Army Charity Kettle Opening Ceremony

Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the 'Salvation Army Charity Kettle Opening Ceremony' held at Yeongdeungpo Times Square Plaza on the 2nd, marking the start of street fundraising.


The event was hosted by the Salvation Army Yeongdeungpo Church, with attendees including Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, Lee Joo-cheol, Southern Seoul Territorial Commander of the Salvation Army, Kim Byung-seon, Senior Officer of the Salvation Army Yeongdeungpo Church, and local residents, who rang the bell in accordance with the opening declaration.


The opening ceremony began with a warm band performance to add warmth to the cold streets, followed by ▲opening remarks ▲congratulatory speeches ▲opening declaration ▲bell ringing and fundraising. The Salvation Army charity kettle fundraising campaign will continue nationwide until December 31.


Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, "This year again, the sound of the Salvation Army charity kettle bell has spread, delivering hope and happiness to neighbors in need," adding, "I hope that the warm hands of the residents will come together to make this winter a warm one where no one is left out."
