Goryeong-gun Participates in Daegu Food Industry Expo... Operates Promotion Booth at Dalbit Railroad Special Pavilion

Goryeong-gun (Governor Lee Nam-cheol) participated in the "22nd Daegu Food Industry Expo Moonlight Railroad Special Pavilion," held for three days from November 29 to December 1 at Daegu EXCO, to promote tourism in the world heritage city of Goryeong, as well as excellent food products and agricultural specialties.

The "Moonlight Railroad Special Pavilion" was operated with the purpose of allowing visitors to experience the tastes and charms of the East and West by exhibiting and managing booths promoting local governments along the Moonlight Railroad route, following the passage of the Moonlight Railroad Special Act in January this year. In addition to Goryeong-gun, six other local governments participated.

Goryeong-gun created the special pavilion's first car under the theme "Moonlight Railroad FIRST CLASS Goryeong," differentiating itself from other local governments with the concept of "FIRST CLASS," providing visitors with the best integrated tourism service experience featuring Goryeong-gun's attractions, food, and entertainment.

Goryeong-gun exhibited 20 items consisting of excellent local specialties such as strawberries, Goryeong Okmi rice, and traditional sauces, along with promoting outstanding tourist destinations and tourism products. The event also featured tastings of the region's representative foods, including pork rib cutlet and signature bread, digital tourism resident card sign-ups, and a roulette game offering snack boxes composed of locally manufactured processed foods, showcasing a unique charm by linking Goryeong's tourism and gourmet content through various events.

A Goryeong-gun official stated, "Through this expo, we hope to elevate the status of Goryeong as the ancient capital of Daegaya and a world heritage city, and that the excellence of Goryeong's food and tourism resources will be widely recognized along the Moonlight Railroad."
