Collaborative Strategy Development for Launching the Inaugural Year of Yeoju Tourism

Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 2nd that it has concluded the 'Yeoju Tourism Revitalization Promotion Team Strategy TF Meeting' to successfully promote 2025 as the 'First Year of Yeoju Tourism.'

Led by the Director of the Culture and Welfare Bureau, the Strategy TF Meeting involved 19 departments and 25 teams of Yeoju City, as well as the Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation, and was held twice a week regularly from the 7th to the 27th of last month.

To establish detailed implementation plans for six key focus areas?strengthening tourism infrastructure, enhancing marketing and promotion, developing local tourism content, hosting events to attract tourists, encouraging local resident participation, and improving systems and environments to foster tourism businesses?the meeting reviewed the progress of projects by each department and examined specific and feasible action tasks.

Based on this meeting, a full meeting of the 'Yeoju Tourism Revitalization Promotion Team' will be held in December to finalize the action tasks of all departments. Additionally, various methods to gather citizens' opinions and encourage their participation in promoting 2025 as the 'First Year of Yeoju Tourism' will be explored. The detailed implementation plan for the 'First Year of Yeoju Tourism 2025' will be established by the end of December this year.
