Gwangju City announced on the 2nd that it will recruit elderly participants for the ‘2025 Senior Job Project,’ including the Senior Public Service Activity Project, Senior Capacity Utilization Project, and Community Project Group, until the 13th.


The city will invest 155.1 billion KRW in next year’s senior job projects, providing jobs to 36,348 seniors. Various projects will be carried out at 69 job implementation institutions, including 5 autonomous districts and 5 senior clubs.


The number of recruits by project type is ▲ 26,502 for senior public service activities such as Nono Care ▲ 5,923 for senior capacity utilization such as childcare facility assistance ▲ 2,754 for community project groups such as store operations ▲ 1,169 for private company employment support (employment referral type) projects.


The recruitment targets for the senior public service activity project are seniors aged 65 or older (some 60 or older) who meet criteria such as receiving the basic pension. The senior capacity utilization project targets those aged 65 or older (some 60 or older), and the employment support (employment referral type) targets seniors aged 60 or older residing in Gwangju City. However, recipients of livelihood benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, workplace subscribers to National Health Insurance, long-term care insurance grade assessors (grades 1 to 5), and participants in other ministry job projects are excluded.


Applicants can prepare identification cards, resident registration certificates, relevant certificates, etc., and apply in person at their local dong administrative welfare center or each senior job implementation institution starting from the 2nd. Applications can also be submitted online through Senior Job Here, Bokjiro, and Government24.
