Equipment Exhibition Also Rated a Success
The Busan Dental Technicians Association (President Jeong Young-cheol) held an independent international academic conference in the Busan area last October.
Under the theme "Beyond Busan to the World," the Busan Dental Technicians Association hosted BDTEX 2024, announcing on the 2nd that it operated an international academic conference and equipment exhibition independently for the first time in 13 years, moving away from the academic conferences of the five cities and provinces in the Yeongnam region to ensure stable and competitive self-management.
The Busan chapter formed a preparation committee last March and prepared the event through over 40 meetings and several simulations. The event featured 15 professional lecturers, participation from more than 45 companies with about 75 booths, and prizes worth approximately 25 million KRW, attracting many members and dental technician students.
Additionally, nationwide city and provincial branch heads, business presidents, women's associations, academic societies, and the Grutogi Volunteer Group participated. The Seoul Dental Technicians Association supported the event by operating an executive training session at BDTEX 2024.
The Busan chapter introduced that members who completed 4 credit hours of continuing education at the national branch meetings participated additionally, achieving remarkable results.

At the reception, dental technology-related companies set up spaces to promote their developed and manufactured products and companies, drawing participants' attention.
The Busan chapter invited renowned domestic and international lecturers, including Mr. Takao Naito from Japan, to deliver lectures matching the level of an international academic conference.
Jeong Eun-kyung, Public Relations Director of the Busan chapter, said, "We provided prize draw events for future dental technicians and gave coffee coupons to participants in the student practical skills competition to stimulate interest," adding, "This year, instead of home appliances, we prepared pure gold as a prize for members to make the event memorable with a valuable idea."
Jeong Young-cheol, President of the Busan Dental Technicians Association, expressed gratitude to the guests and attendees from across the country and said, "We hope for much interest in BDTEX 2025, which will be held over two days from October 17 to 18 next year."
