Hyundai Motor Securities' Social Contribution 'Maeumnanum Account' Grows Fourfold in 2 Years

Hyundai Motor Securities announced on the 2nd that its fundraising program for social contribution activities, ‘Hyundai Motor Securities Maumnanum Account,’ has grown more than fourfold in about two years since its introduction.

The ‘Hyundai Motor Securities Maumnanum Account’ is a program that raises social contribution funds by matching 1:1 the donations made monthly by Hyundai Motor Securities employees and executives with company sponsorship funds. Introduced in October 2022, the program started with monthly donations of 3.7 million KRW, grew to about 10 million KRW per month in its first year, and by November of its second year, donations reached about 16 million KRW per month, showing a steep growth of more than four times.


The funds raised in this way are used to support socially vulnerable groups in local communities. Based on the resources accumulated through the Maumnanum Account, social contribution activities have been carried out not only through monetary donations but also linked with employee participation in one-day classes. Items directly made by employees and their families, such as ▲DIY (Do It Yourself) Love Pencil Cases ▲Companion Trees ▲Giant Yarn Fortune Bags ▲Premature Baby Care Kits (neck pillows and bibs), along with self-prepared supplies, have been donated to Yeongdeungpo Adult Literacy Center, Gangseo-gu Bongjesan Senior Welfare Center, Ewha Seoul Hospital, and Ewha Mokdong Hospital.


At the same time, Hyundai Motor Securities operates the ‘Social Contribution Mileage System.’ This system provides social contribution mileage to employees participating in social contribution activities, and accumulated mileage is used to grant additional points when selecting outstanding organizations or employees. First implemented in October 2022, as of October this year, 527 employees, more than half of the total workforce, have completed mileage accumulation.


Along with this, considering the connection with the brand slogan ‘Tomorrow’s Difference,’ the new social contribution activity slogan ‘Creating the Culture Difference Together’ has been established, under which various social contribution activities such as ▲Helping Hands in Rural Areas ▲Love Kimchi Fair ▲Love Sharing Bazaar ▲Love Briquette Sharing have been continuously carried out.
