Doosan Construction announced on the 2nd that it has donated 14 million KRW to the Incheon branch of the Korean Red Cross for vulnerable disabled groups in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.
The donation ceremony, held prior to the Doosan Construction We've golf team fan signing event on the 30th of last month, was attended by Gil Hyo-seon, Director of the Northwest Volunteer Center at the Korean Red Cross Incheon branch, Oh Se-uk, Executive Director of Doosan Construction, and professional golfers Yoo Hyun-joo and Kim Min-sol.
The donation was raised as part of the 'Doosan Construction Usuri Donation,' which collects the spare change from the salaries of Doosan Construction employees. It will be used to support daily necessities for vulnerable disabled individuals residing in Bupyeong-gu.
Gil Hyo-seon, Director of the Northwest Volunteer Center, said, "We thank Doosan Construction and will use the donation to bring warmth to disabled individuals facing difficulties in the community."
This year, Doosan Construction has engaged in social contribution activities such as sponsoring disabled sports, promoting local sports development, and protecting abandoned companion animals. In particular, showing interest in supporting disabled individuals, the company has used all proceeds from the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) 'Doosan Construction We've Championship' gallery for two consecutive years to support disabled sports and athletes.
A Doosan Construction representative stated, "We will continue to practice sharing within the local community and carry out various social contribution activities, including employee participation programs with the golf team.
