Sancheong-gun Promotes Community Chest of Korea Using Tourism Character

Hope Sharing Campaign until January 31st, Next Year

Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 2nd that it has launched a fundraising campaign for the 'Fruit of Love' neighbor assistance fund.


This fundraising campaign, under the slogan "Make myself valuable through donation, make Sancheong valuable through donation," will run the Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign until January 31 of next year.

In particular, various events will be promoted using Sancheong-gun's tourism characters, "San Neomeo Chingudeul (Sani, Eol Su, Somi, Heungi)."


The fundraising target is 94 million KRW, and the accepted items include cash, daily necessities, and gift certificates.


Previously, through the Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign, Sancheong-gun raised 230 million KRW in donations, achieving 250% of the target amount (93.7 million KRW).


The raised funds will be used to support low-income households with less than 120% of the median income, social welfare projects, and facilities, institutions, and organizations engaged in other social welfare activities.


County Governor Lee Seung-hwa said, "Every year, many residents deliver their precious hearts, providing great help to neighbors," and added, "With the prolonged economic downturn and the increasing need for assistance, we hope for much interest and warm support."
