On the 28th of last month, when record-breaking snowfall hit the Seoul metropolitan area, a heartwarming story about a netizen who received a "big gift" from a customer at a convenience store has become a hot topic. This customer used an excavator to thoroughly clear the snow in front of the convenience store.

A, who was working at a convenience store run by their parents in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, opened up on their Instagram, saying, "Due to the heavy snowfall, all the nearby restaurants were closed, and only our convenience store was barely open." While A was trying to clear the snow alone with a snow shovel, an excavator operator came into the store.

According to A, the store only had tables that had collapsed because of the heavy snow. Hearing the operator say, "I haven't eaten properly all day because of the work," A offered their counter chair so the operator could eat comfortably. A said, "I thought I could just stand for a bit," sharing the situation.

However, after finishing the meal, the operator said, "I'll clear the snow for you," and went outside. A expected the operator to just make a path wide enough to walk, but was surprised a moment later when looking around the parking lot. The excavator was cleaning the parking lot and nearby roads thoroughly. A said, "It took about 30 minutes, and it was done perfectly," adding, "I wonder if it's okay to receive such kindness just for preparing a small dining space. I'm so, so grateful." They continued, "It was so sudden that I gave coffee, citron tea, and snacks, but it was far from enough. I recharged my faith in humanity thanks to the heavy snow," expressing gratitude once again.

As of the morning of the 2nd, the video has been viewed over 1.75 million times, with warm comments such as "Recharging my faith in humanity," "It's a warm world," "An excavator during heavy snow must cost at least 600,000 won. Amazing," "How much is this kindness worth?" "It feels heartwarming," "The excavator even has a Taegeukgi flag. What a wonderful operator," "How great would it be if only people like this existed," and "I want to be someone who shows kindness too." These warm comments continue to pour in.
