Expansion of In-House Digital Investment Content ‘ETF Guidebook’

The scale of pension investments using ETFs in pension savings accounts and retirement pension accounts is rapidly growing. Samsung Asset Management has released ‘Pension Survival Game, How to Survive with KODEX ETF’ to provide various information and investment know-how necessary for pension investments.

Samsung Asset Management announced on the 2nd that it has newly published the ‘KODEX Pension Investment Guidebook,’ which organizes information on pension investments using ETFs into one volume, and will also hold a webinar on the 5th.

The guidebook was created with the concept of a ‘Pension Survival Game’ to make it easier and more interesting for the general public to approach. Following a game concept from Round 1 to Round 4, it covers topics pension investors are most curious about, including ▲ ETFs available for pension investment ▲ the importance of asset allocation ▲ recommended portfolios by age group ▲ optimal pension receipt strategies.

The KODEX Pension Investment Guidebook features recommended ETF portfolios by age group. For those in their 20s and 30s, who have the advantage of time, a ‘Growth Portfolio’ centered on high-growth U.S. stocks is suggested. For those in their 30s and 40s, who are in the main asset-building phase and have high expenditures, a ‘Balanced Portfolio’ of growth and dividend stocks is proposed. Lastly, for those in their 50s and 60s in the withdrawal phase, a ‘Loss-Prevention Portfolio’ that manages risk is introduced.

Kim Dohyung, Head of ETF Consulting at Samsung Asset Management, said, “Preparing for a worry-free and peaceful retirement life is better the sooner, and there is no such thing as enough,” adding, “We included all our know-how in this guidebook to expand the base of pension investment in Korea and help individual investors build a long-term stable pension portfolio using various KODEX ETFs.”

The guidebook can be downloaded for free without membership registration on Samsung Asset Management’s official website. Samsung Asset Management plans to continue providing guidebooks on various topics and expand its own digital investment content.

Samsung Asset Management will hold a pension investment webinar via YouTube Live at 7 PM on the 5th. A real-time Q&A session will be conducted to address viewers’ questions.
