LG, Positive Evaluation for 'Design and AI Features'
Samsung, Excellence in 'Smart and Energy Efficiency'
As AI-equipped home appliances become mainstream in the domestic electronics market, a survey revealed that consumer satisfaction is highest for LG Electronics' AI appliances.
According to an analysis by CEO Score on the 1st, targeting five major AI home appliance categories distributed on Naver Shopping and Coupang, LG Electronics' products accounted for more than half of the total, surpassing Samsung Electronics to take the lead.
The survey results showed that LG Electronics ranked first in three categories: TV, refrigerator, and washer & dryer. Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics led in dishwashers and received similar levels of positive feedback as LG Electronics in air conditioners.
LG Electronics was often recommended as a "filial piety gift" due to its simple and sophisticated design and various standout AI features. Samsung Electronics was favored as a "congratulatory gift" with strengths in smartphone connectivity and excellent energy efficiency.
Among the total 633 products surveyed, LG Electronics accounted for 327 products, representing 51.7%, and recorded an overwhelming number of 133,870 consumer reviews. LG Electronics maintained the top position in TV (64 products), refrigerator (61 products), and washer & dryer (117 products) categories, with review counts of 21,501, 24,863, and 61,646 respectively.
In the premium AI home appliance market, LG Electronics also ranked first in four categories: TV, refrigerator, washer & dryer, and air conditioner.
Samsung Electronics ranked second with 216 products (34.1%) and recorded 87,821 reviews. Samsung led LG Electronics in dishwashers with 51 products and 6,051 reviews. In the air conditioner category, both Samsung and LG Electronics had 43 products each, but Samsung held an advantage in review count with 15,677.
Review analysis showed that LG Electronics received high marks for keywords such as "cost-effectiveness," "low noise," and "highly recommended." Samsung Electronics' main positive keywords included "energy efficiency," "storage space," and "as expected, Samsung."
On the other hand, both companies were negatively mentioned regarding issues related to customer centers or service centers and additional delivery costs.
